Interesting name at Whitby

The North Yorkshire Moors Railway is a mature heritage line that runs from Pickering to Grosmont where there is a connection with the main line railway network.  In recent years arrangements have been made to extend the NYM trains into the seaside town of Whitby which is a popular tourist location

At intermediate stations there are signs warning about the danger of adders or vipers. Several of these stations have been used for a long running TV series.
