Virtual Railfan Tour - Fiji Sugar Cane Railway - The cane fields

 
I must admit I had many other things on my mind as well as railways. This is sunset over Treasure Island

No. 17 was built by Baldwin, Australia in 1973. It was on the Rarawai Mill roster.

In many cases the cane trucks were taken off rail and brought into the fields for loading

No. 9 was a Clyde 0-6-0.  Clyde built a No. 9 for Rarawai mill s/n 378 in 1964 and a No. 9 s/n 380 for Lautoka also in 1964, Not sure which one this is.

This is Lautoka Mill No. 1 built by Clyde s/n 140 in 1957
