Virtual Railfan Tour Philippines Sugar Cane Railways - Hawaiian Philippine Railway 1992 - part one

The Hawaiian Philippine shops were well equipped, including this beautifully painted waste drum

In the shop. This was a three foot gauge railway.

The mill had a number of bagasse burning steam locomotives in operation. No. 3 was a 1918 built Baldwin 0-6-0

No. 7 was another Baldwin 0-6-0 built in 1918

No. 9 was an 0-6-0 saddle tank originally named Manana. It was built as an 0-6-4ST by Baldwin in 1916 and was later converted to 0-6-0, presumably when the tender was added.

No. 8 had a similar history to Np. 9, it was originally named Halawa.

I believe No. 2 was an 0-6-0 built by Henschel of Kassel, Germany in 1921. No. 2 was chosen to take us out into the sugar cane fields.
